About the Artist:

Hi everyone! It’s the Dude here, of Cross Dude Tie Die-- I wanted to tell you a little bit about our company. It all began during the quarantine of 2020, school was out and we had nothing to do, so my Mom bought a tie-dye kit to be creative at home… and keep me off video games (thanks, Mom 😒). My Mom liked my shirt and had an idea; I should  create more tie-dye and try to sell some. I thought about it, I pitched the idea to my Aunt Tania, she agreed to help with research and investment capital (but made me write out the business plan!) and Cross Dude Tie Die was born-- (Cross Dude is my gamer tag and our last name)!

      Our first pop-up sale was selling masks at the Cobra Club’s 8th anniversary party in Bushwick, Brooklyn. People loved them, and I realized I had a knack for sales, so we continued to make new products, experiment with colors, learn new techniques and customize them upon request. I also started drawing up a bunch of characters that are a part of our squad, there’s Big Panda, Pickle the Bandit, Reggie the Raccoon and Suds the Whale; when you buy gear from us you also get stickers of our guys!  Building the business has been fun (pop-up sales and making promotional videos) and hard (writing a business plan and keeping up with inventory), plus I get to spend a lot of time with my Mom and my Aunt in our workshop dreaming up new ideas. We’ve had our ups and downs, but we can’t stop, and we won’t stop tie-dying.
